Protection
through light.

A UV chamber exposes flowing water to ultraviolet light. It works differently from a filter that physically captures particles.

  1. 01Prepare the water

    Appropriate pretreatment helps UV light reach microorganisms.

  2. 02Deliver the dose

    Sufficient UV exposure disrupts genetic material in susceptible microbes, including coliform bacteria such as E. coli.

  3. 03Inactivate

    The affected microorganisms cannot reproduce. They are inactivated, rather than physically removed.

Performance depends on UV dose, water clarity, flow and maintenance. UV does not remove dissolved chemicals. Follow the system’s operating limits.

Explain lamp replacement, sleeve care and the monitoring features supplied with the selected system.

UV does not remove hardness, dissolved chemicals or sediment. A lit lamp alone does not prove effective treatment. Water quality, flow, UV dose and system condition all matter.

UV output falls with age. Follow the installed system's specified replacement interval.

Keep the sleeve clean

Deposits on the sleeve can interfere with the light reaching the water.

A few useful answers

Questions, answered.

Does UV make any water safe to drink?

No. It is one treatment step with defined operating conditions. It does not remove chemical contaminants, and unsuitable water or excessive flow can compromise performance.

Can I use UV with a softener or iron filter?

Yes, when a treatment plan calls for those steps. The order and settings are selected for the actual water.

Does a glowing lamp mean the system is working effectively?

Visible light is not a measurement of delivered UV dose. Correct water preparation, flow, lamp age and any specified monitoring remain important.

How much space does it need?

We consider the chamber as well as the extra room needed to remove the lamp and sleeve during service.
