Reverse osmosis uses pressure to separate treated drinking water from a stream carrying rejected dissolved substances.

    Feed pressure pushes water toward the membrane.

    Treated water crosses the membrane. The concentrate stream carries rejected substances away.

    Compare feed and treated TDS readings over time, alongside the system’s maintenance guidance.

HydraPure is a point-of-use drinking-water system. Feed water must be potable, and pretreatment may be needed for hardness, iron or other conditions outside the system's operating range.

How we approach it

Four stages.

Each stage has a job. We also look at the feed-water pressure, tank location and faucet position so the system works in the actual kitchen.

GPD is a nominal membrane production rating, not the faucet delivery rate. Actual output and reduction vary with temperature, pressure, feed water, tank conditions and cartridge configuration. Contaminant-specific performance claims must match the exact assembled system; they are not inferred from the membrane's GPD rating.

Replace the service filters

LiveSmart's standard service plan starts with sediment and carbon changes at six months, adjusted for use and water conditions.

Check membrane performance

Compare incoming and treated-water readings during service. Our standard planning interval is two years, with replacement based on condition and the system instructions.

Include system hygiene

Sanitization and tank checks are distinct service tasks. We explain what is included when arranging service.

A few useful answers

Questions, answered.

Should I choose 50 or 75 GPD?

We consider demand and the actual feed-water conditions. GPD describes nominal daily membrane production; the storage tank and faucet arrangement also affect the experience at the tap.

Does it replace a whole-home softener?

No. A kitchen RO serves the drinking-water tap. Whole-home softening treats hardness throughout the home, and may also help prepare water for the RO.

Can you add a remineralizing stage?

A suitable optional stage can be considered for the desired water profile. We confirm compatibility and its service needs with the chosen configuration.

Will it fit under my sink?

We measure the space and plan filter, tank and faucet locations around the existing cabinetry.
